Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Farmer cooperative owned ethanol venture, Lincolnway Energy LLC (Nevada, Iowa), has broken ground on a new 50 million gallon per year fuel ethanol plant located in Nevada, Iowa.
The group selected ICM (Colwich, Kansas) as the technology and process design provider and the plant will be constructed by Fagen Incorporated (Granite Falls, Minnesota).
Official groundbreaking for this estimated $65 million project took place in November 2004, and the plant is scheduled to be fully operational by October or November of 2005, just in time for the new corn harvest.
Iowa is currently home to seventeen operational ethanol plants capable of producing over 725 million gallons of the fuel annually. Seven plants are now currently under construction in the state that could add another 278 million gallons annually to Iowa's ethanol production capacity by the end of 2005.
Lincolnway Energy, LLC was formed for the purpose of building, owning and operating a dry mill fuel ethanol plant to be located near Nevada, Iowa. Their mission is to provide clean renewable energy, maintain a safe and rewarding place to work and maximize shareholder value.
