Plant officials confirmed that the unit had been operating at full load when the reactor tripped. Officials said they were still investigating the cause. However, repairs are under way, and officials anticipate returning the unit online by Wednesday, barring any unforeseen delays.
River Bend began operation in 1986 and has only one generating unit.
