SIBUR Holding has awarded Tecnimont S.p.A., a subsidiary of Maire Tecnimont S.p.A., as majority leader of the consortium including MT Russia LLC, Sinopec Engineering Inc. and Sinopec Engineering Group Co., Ltd Russian Branch for engineering, procurement and site services (EPSS) of polymer units at its planned Amur Gas Chemical Complex in Svobodny, Russia. The new plant will process ethane and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to produce 2.3 million pounds per year of polyethylene (PE) and 0.4 million pounds per year of polypropylene (PP).
