Middle East countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Iran are production hubs for petrochemical products like ethylene, propylene and their derivatives, which have been attracting a growing amount of investment.
Industrial Info is tracking 14 capital projects for new ethylene, polyethylene, propylene and polypropylene units, worth more than $8.4 billion, that are expected to begin operations by end of 2021. Iran tops the list with eight projects, followed by Oman with five.
