According to the contract, Sinohydro Bureau 10 will be responsible for permanent and temporary civil works, such as the main dam, flood discharge structures, power diversion tunnel, plant area works and the step-up substation, as well as the installation and erection works for the metal structures and mechanical and electrical equipment.

Datang Tibet Bodui Hydropower Development Company Limited, a project company specially established by China Datang Corporation, will be responsible for the development and future operations of the project.

According to plans, the first unit of the project will begin operations in October 2014, and the entire project will be completed in May 2015. Upon completion, the project will be able to generate about 67.1 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity to the Tibet grid.
