Peco Foods Expanding Mississippi Plant; Contractor Identified
New evisceration lines and de-boning equipment will be added to the plant and the facilities entire refrigeration system will be upgraded

Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Privately held poultry processor, Peco Foods Incorporated (Tuscaloosa, Alabama) is currently expanding their Sebastopol, Mississippi poultry processing plant.
Construction began about a month ago at the plant located at 15292 Highway 21 South in Sebastopol on a pre-construction project that will expand the parking lot and add a new scale house. Once the final drawings are completed, the company plans to add roughly 65,000 square feet of manufacturing space to improve and expand the plant's evisceration and de-boning operations.
New evisceration lines and de-boning equipment will be added to the plant and the facilities entire refrigeration system will be upgraded, as well as the addition of a new dumping system on the back end of the process.
Peco selected Perry Construction Company (Philadelphia, Mississippi) as the general contractor for this $18 million expansion project and the new building construction is expected to begin within the next 30 days.
The project is on a fast track construction schedule that is slated for completion by February of 2005.
