Roseville Electric Nears Construction of 160 Megawatt Municipal Power Station in California

Roseville Electric performed ground breaking ceremonies last week for the $170 million Roseville Energy Park, located on twelve acres of land in Roseville, California, near the recently completed Pleasant Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will provide recycled water for the plant cooling system.

Construction kick-off for the Roseville Energy Park is expected to take place during the first week of August 2005, with commercial startup expected by spring of 2007. The Roseville City Council awarded the Power Island Equipment supply contract to Siemens (NYSE:SI), which is expected to start delivery by the spring of 2006. The combined-cycle power island consists of two Siemens GTX100 (GT800) Gas Turbine Generators, two Vogt Heat Recovery Steam Generators, and a Siemens Steam Turbine Generator.

The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract was awarded to Gemma Power Systems California, Inc. (Glastonbury, Connecticut), with engineering services to be provided by Parsons E&C (Houston, Texas).
