South Korea's GS Caltex to Spend $341 Million on Chemical Projects

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--GS Caltex Corporation (Seoul, South Korea), one of the largest refiners in South Korea, plans to spend more than US$341 million on 27 projects at its refineries, following the restart of two major units.

GS Caltex has five refineries across South Korea, and is preparing to invest in unit additions, maintenance and upgrades, among other projects. The company has four crude distillation units at its refinery in Yeosu, where it restarted the 180,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Crude 3 and 63,000-BBL/d kero/diesel hydrodesulfurizer on April 3.
