The pulp chemical division manufactures sodium chlorite, sodium chlorate, caustic soda, chlorine, calcium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid. Sodium chlorite is an anti-microbial agent used for municipal water treatment and also disinfectants for fresh produce, and sodium chlorate is a bleaching agent used in pulp production. The company has served the pulp and paper industry since the early 1940's and the water treatment industry since the late 1980's.
