The Taiwanese government plans to reduce industrial airborne emissions by 4,000 metric tons per year by implementing new environmental regulations on cement, steel, and power plants.
The Taiwanese government plans to reduce industrial airborne emissions by 4,000 metric tons per year by implementing new environmental regulations on cement, steel, and power plants. Industrial plants emitting more than 40 metric tons per year of nitrogen oxide will be targeted by new sets of environmental policies. Also, the country will promote use of electric vehicles. Steel mills and cement plants are expected to upgrade their air emissions equipment in the next five years to adhere to the new environmental requirements.
