Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Privately held cooking mixes manufacturer, Tasty Blend Foods Incorporated (Scotts Depot, West Virginia) has scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for Thursday, September 23, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. for a new manufacturing plant to be built at the Putnam Business Park in Fraziers Bottom, West Virginia.
As first reported by Industrialinfo.com in April 2004, the company purchased ten acres of land in the business park for the construction of a new 58,000 square foot building to expand and relocate the company's current operations in Scotts Depot.
The company selected Ponderosa Industries Incorporated (South Charleston, West Virginia) as the general contractor for this estimated $4 million project and the contractor began mobilizing equipment and personnel to the site last week.
Plans are to relocate the existing production equipment, as well as install new blending and packaging equipment to meet the growing demand for the company's line of dry biscuit, battering, and cornbread mixes.
Construction is expected to take about nine months to complete. The company plans to hire an additional 50 employees, more than doubling the current workforce.
Tasty Blend Foods Incorporated was founded in 1980 and has experienced exceptional growth throughout the years. The expansion and relocation will enable the company to continue to market their concept, "to provide customers with high quality products that have a 'made from scratch' flavor and texture."
