Phillips 66, on March 19, shut down the 30,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) 40 and FCCU 26 (Fractionation) unit at its 145,000-BBL/d refinery in Borger, Texas, for 47 days, and also the 34,000-BBL/d Naphtha HDS 19-1 and 20,000-BBL/d Reformer 19.2 for 18 days

North America
Phillips 66, on March 19, shut down the 30,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) 40 and FCCU 26 (Fractionation) unit at its 145,000-BBL/d refinery in Borger, Texas, for 47 days, and also the 34,000-BBL/d Naphtha HDS 19-1 and 20,000-BBL/d Reformer 19.2 for 18 days. On March 17, Phillips 66 shut down four units for about two to three weeks.

International
Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has delayed the restart of the 24,000-BBL/d Eocene Topping Unit at its 346,000-BBL/d Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery in Kuwait, due to additional repairs needed, until later today. The 33,000-BBL/d Atmospheric Residue Desulfurization (ARDS) Unit 3 and 33,000-BBL/d ARDS Unit 4 restart also has been delayed, to March 27 and March 25, respectively. The 40,000-BBL/d Hydrocracker (HCU) now will restart April 13, and the 70,000-BBL/d New Gas Oil HDS March 27.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has delayed the restart of the 15,000-BBL/d Visbreaker Unit 1 at its 300,000-BBL/d Mangalore Refinery in India. The restart now is expected by March 28 (previously reported to be March 10).

PDVSA, on March 20, was forced to shut down the 34,000-BBL/d Reformer (Continuous Catalytic Reformer) at its 181,500-BBL/d refinery in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, due to a fire. Pump repairs and cleaning will be performed, and the unit is expected to be back online by late March.
