ExxonMobil, on March 27, experienced a fire on the lone crude unit at its 58,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) refinery in Billings, Montana. The extent of the damage and a timetable for the unit's return to service are unknown at this time.

ExxonMobil, on March 21, began a four-week planned maintenance turnaround of the 98,000-BBL/d Fluid Catalytic Cracker Unit (FCCU) at its 230,000-BBL/d refinery in Joliet, Illinois.

International
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) continues operating its 760,000-BBL/d Jamnagar SEZ Refinery in India at 92% due to a leak in the Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) 2's reboiler. The CDU 2 is operating at 91%, and the 380,000-BBL/d CDU 1 at 94%. The units are expected to resume full throughput by March 31.

PDVSA continues operating the 80,000-BBL/d FCCU at reduced rates at its 625,000-BBL/d refinery in Amuay, Venezuela, due to air compressor issues. Planned repairs will not begin until the 77,000-BBL/d FCCU at its 295,000-BBL/d Cardon, Venezuela, refinery is back online. The restart process will begin today, and the unit is expected to be back online by April 7.

Sinopec Tahe Refinery Company Limited, on March 14, began a 50-day planned plant-wide turnaround at its 100,000-BBL/d Tahe Refinery in Xinjiang, China. The turnaround includes eight major units and other downstream support units. The restart is expected by May 2.
