Deer Park Refining, yesterday, January 24, shut down its entire plant after severe weather and a tornado disrupted power and steam supply at its 340,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Deer Park Refinery in Texas. The facility is in the process of restoring these utilities, and a restart is expected to begin January 29. The full restart will take place within 24 to 48 hours after that.

Pasadena Refinings' 24,000-BBL/d Reformer (CCR 3) remains shut for repairs at its 81,500-BBL/d Pasadena, Texas, refinery, due to damage caused by Winter Storm Elliot. Repairs are ongoing and the restart is expected by the end of the month.

International
Sonatrach continues to operate the lone Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) at 80% at its 72,000-BBL/d Algiers Refinery in Algeria. As a result, four other units are operating at 70%. All of the units are tentatively expected to resume normal operations by September 7.

North Refineries Company (NRC) continues with a planned 33-day plant-wide maintenance turnaround at its 70,000-BBL/d Salahudin I Refinery in Iraq. Expectations are to restart the units by January 30. NRC also continues with a planned 30-day maintenance turnaround of the 10,000-BBL/d CDU 2 at its 30,000-BBL/d Siniya Refinery in Iraq, and expectations are to restart the unit by February 13.
