Imperial Oil, on April 3, started a 60-day planned maintenance turnaround of the 120,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Crude/Vac (AMV), 17,100-BBL/d Hydrocracker and 27,50-BBL/d Powerformer 2 at its 120,000-BBL/d refinery in Sarnia, Ontario.
Suncor continues with attempts to restart its 98,000-BBL/d Denver Refinery in Commerce City, Colorado refinery, after it was shut down in late December due to damage caused by Winter Storm Elliott. In Plant 1 (West), Suncor has not yet established commercial production but has started several units, including the 32,000-BBL/d Crude 1 (Sweet) and 10,000-BBL/d Reformer 1. Additionally, Suncor restarted Plant 2 (East) last week.

Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company, on April 5, was forced to shut down 10 units at its 615,000-BBL/d Mina Al Zour Refinery in Kuwait, due to an issue with hydrogen supply. Tentative expectations are to restart the units by April 19.
