Twelve New York counties have $1 billion or more in active industrial projects, including New York, with $11.7 billion; Queens, with $4 billion; Suffolk, with $2.9 billion; Albany, with $2.7 billion; Orange, with $2.1 billion; Dutchess, with $1.5 billion; Rockland, with $1.4 billion; Jefferson, with $1.3 billion; Erie, with $1.2 billion; Saint Lawrence, with $1.2 billion; Nassau, with $1 billion; and Chautauqua, with $1 billion.

Heavy manufacturing and infrastructure projects account for approximately 36% of the projects by value in the state of New York. The largest infrastructure project is New York City's $4.6 billion, first-phase construction of the Second Avenue Subway project. Completion is scheduled for December 2016.
