Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). A privately held oil & gas exploration company, Berexco Incorporated (Wichita, Kansas) has formed Trenton Agriproducts LLC (Wichita, Kansas) and plans to soon begin construction of a new fuel ethanol plant in Nebraska.
The company is finalizing the financing package on the $44 million project and once the money is in place, construction will begin sometime in early June of 2003 on a 30 million gallon per year corn based ethanol plant.
Leading ethanol technology provider and plant constructor ICM Corporation (Colwich, Kansas) will provide the design and build the plant and also operate the facility once it is completed sometime during the Spring of 2004.
The dry mill ethanol plant will process about 12 million bushels of locally grown corn in its first year of operation and the developers of the project are already talking about bumping up capacity to 40 million gallons per year once the plant becomes operational and running efficiently.
The facility will be located about two miles east of Trenton in Hitchcock County in southern Nebraska near the Nebraska Kansas border. The plant will also produce distillers dried grains and C02 byproducts.
Jay Brunson, Industrialinfo.com's Syn-Fuels Manager added, "In talking with developers close to emerging ethanol projects in the state, some speculate that at least twenty new ethanol projects could be under development in Nebraska."
