The Trump administration is excluding environmental reviews that had been required under the National Environmental Policy Act from license applications for liquefied natural gas (LNG) transport facilities, according to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The now-defunct requirement only affected LNG shipments to countries with which the U.S. does not hold a free trade agreement, including China.
