Industrial Info is tracking 88 active cement projects in the Central Asian market region, which includes Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan leads all other countries with 33 active projects, valued at more than $1.8 billion.
About 19 projects represent new-plant construction, and 16 projects are operational plant expansions and unit additions. These projects are in various stages of planning, engineering and construction, and represent about $3.1 billion in potential investment value.
