Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Wyoming Ethanol LLC (Torrington, Wyoming), a subsidiary of Renova Energy Incorporated (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) is planning to double the capacity of their fuel ethanol plant in Torrington, Wyoming. (Plant 1016547)
Technip USA Corporation (Claremont, California) is currently designing the project that will increase the plant's capacity from five million gallons per year to ten million gallons per year. The plant will also chew up an additional two million bushels per year of locally grown grain feed stocks.
The estimated $5+ million project will add additional fermentation, distillation, and evaporation capacity; plus the company will add a bio-digester to the plants wastewater treatment system.
Construction is scheduled to begin around April of this year and take about six months to complete.
Wyoming Ethanol has been producing fuel ethanol at the plant in Torrington since 1995. Wyoming farmers contribute more than 600,000 bushels of corn and milo each year to the plant, which also brings corn in from other locations by train. The company also operates a drag racing team that competes around the state promoting the benefits of ethanol.
