Abengoa Bioenergy Running at Full Capacity at Fuel Ethanol Plant in Madison, Illinois

Construction began in September 2009 on the state-of-the-art design and technology production facility, which can process 32 million bushels of corn annually and has a nameplate capacity for 90 million gallons per year fuel of ethanol. The company celebrated with a grand opening ceremony last week.

The plant was built by the construction division of Abengoa Abencs (Chesterfield, Missouri). Cost estimates to build the plant were in the $275 million range.
