Angola's state-owned Sonangol has revived a refining project in the Lobito municipality, following a three-year hiatus. The parent company plans to decide on a new configuration by next year and expects to begin operations at the refinery by mid-2025.
Sonangol's 200,000-barrel-per-day refinery will produce gasoline, diesel and other hydrocarbons to reduce Angola's reliance on imports.
