Bid Process Open for Mexico's 700 MW Power Plant

There will be a site visit on August 8 and bidding rules are available through February 5, 2004. Technical bids will be opened immediately and economic bids will be opened on March 8, 2004. Pacifico is scheduled to start operations by February 2007.

The project, previously known as Petacalco2, is required by the CFE to have 648 MW net generating capacity. It will be built next to CFE's 2,100 MW plant in Guerrero state.
