Canadian Solar Adds 30 Megawatts to Ontario's Capacity with Three Projects

Two projects are under construction and are expected to be operational in a few weeks' time: the Beamlight photovoltaic (PV) and the Goldlight PV facilities.

A third, the Discovery Light PV project, recently began commercial operations. Each of the three projects is designed to produce 10 MW.

The Beamlight project, which is being built in Georgina, Ontario, is expected to begin commercial operations by the end of June.

The Goldlight project, which is about nine miles southeast of Georgina, also is expected to start up by the end of June.

The Discovery Light project began construction in May 2014. It is located in the township of Brock, Ontario, about 19.5 miles east of Beamlight.
