China's Industrial Profit Rises 5.4% in November

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In November, the total profit of China's industrial enterprises with annual sales of more than $730,000 achieved a year-over-year rise of 5.4%, or 11.9 percentages points lower than in the same period last year. The sales ratio of industrial products dropped 0.95 percentage points to 97%. Exports by industrial enterprises totaled $93.46 billion, down 5.2% year over year, the National Bureau of Statistics announced on December 15.

• Automobiles: 714,000 units, 15.9%

From January to November 2008, the total profit of industrial enterprises rose 13.7% year over year. The growth rate for the light and heavy industries grew 12.7% and 14.1%, respectively.
