More than $1.8 billion alone is being invested on a new coal-fired power plant being constructed in Wright, Wyoming. The project consists of both a 320-megawatt (MW) coal-fired unit and a 750 MW coal-fired unit. The plant is scheduled to begin operations in mid-2008, with construction of the second unit complete in 2010. In Colorado, the most expensive new plant under construction is a $300 natural gas liquids fractionator facility located in Meeker, Utah. Kraftmaid Cabinetry and its $100 million wood cabinet production plant will bring the majority of new jobs to the state with up to 1,300 new jobs being created.
