Dominion's Cove Point LNG Plant Begins to Exit Outage - Dominion Energy Incorporated's (NYSE:D) Cove Point liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal in Maryland started to exit a three-week annual maintenance outage on Monday. The amount of natural gas flowing on pipelines to the plant was on track to reach 0.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) on Monday from around zero since it shut on September 20, data showed. U.S. Natural Gas Futures Rise to Highest Since January 2019 - U.S. natural gas futures spiked on Monday to their highest since January 2019 as the amount of gas flowing to LNG export plants jumps as units return in Louisiana after Hurricane Delta and in Maryland after maintenance work. Front-month gas futures rose 14.5 cents, or 5.3%, to $2.886 per million British thermal units, putting the contract on track for its highest close since January 2019.

Energy Companies Restore Gulf of Mexico Production After Hurricane - Energy companies forged ahead restoring oil and natural gas production in the U.S.-regulated northern Gulf of Mexico on Monday, three days after Hurricane Delta made landfall, said the U.S. Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE). Shut offshore crude oil production fell to 69.4%, or 1.28 million barrels per day (BBL/d), on Monday from 91%, or 1.68 million BBL/d, on Sunday, the regulator said. BSEE also said 47%, or 1.28 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d), in offshore natural gas production remained shut as of midday on Monday. On Sunday, the agency said 62%, or 1.68 Bcf/d, was shut.
