Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)-- GreenShift Corporation (OTC:GERS) (New York, New York) and newly formed subsidiary GS Fulton Biodiesel LLC (Alpharetta, Georgia) are proceeding with plans to install a corn oil extraction system and biodiesel production plant at the Northeast Biofuels complex, which will soon go into operation in Volney, New York.

Plans are to install a 10.8 million-gallon-per-year corn extraction system that will pull corn oil from the distillers grain generated from the ethanol plant and use the oil to produce 10 million gallons per year of biodiesel. GreenShift will employ NextGen Fuel Incorporated (Potsdam, New York), which it acquired in November 2006, to design and build the plant. NextGen Fuel specializes in skid-mounted, modular biodiesel production plant technology.

Construction is expected to start in October and take four and a half months to complete. The plant will also produce about 8% of glycerin for every gallon of biodiesel generated.

In May, the company also acquired the NextDiesel biodiesel plant in Adrian, Michigan. The 30 million-gallon-per-year plant has been in operation since summer 2007.

The company has oil extraction systems in operation in Culberson, Montana; Oshkosh, Wisconsin; and Medina, New York. Additional corn oil extraction systems are currently under construction in Marion, Indiana; Riga, Michigan; Lakota, Iowa; Milton, Wisconsin; and Richardton, North Dakota.

GreenShift's goal is to have at least 15 million gallons per year of corn oil extraction capacity, 20 million gallons per year of biodiesel production capacity, and 16 million gallons per year of oilseed crushing capacity online by the end of 2008, and at least 50 million gallons per year of corn oil extraction capacity, 50 million gallons per year of biodiesel production capacity, and 16 million gallons per year of oilseed crushing capacity online by the end of 2009.
