Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Harding Street Generating Station, which is located in Indianapolis, Indiana, shut down its 471-megawatt (MW) Unit 7 Thursday night to repair a coal mill. The station is owned and operated by Indianapolis Power & Light (Indianapolis, Indiana), a subsidiary of AES Corporation (NYSE:AES) (Arlington, Virginia).

Officials said that they are performing a full investigation as to why the mill stopped functioning, but they are confident the outage will be brief. The officials say that the unit will return online Saturday, November 22, if there are no delays.
The power plant has five coal units and six gas units, with a total generating capacity of 1,240 MW when at full load.
