Indonesia's PT UPC Renewables Indonesia Prepares for Wind Farm Expansion, an Industrial Info Market Brief
PT UPC Renewables Indonesia is focusing on the expansion of its renewable energy portfolio in Indonesia's South Sulawesi
Released Tuesday, September 01, 2020
PT UPC Renewables Indonesia is focusing on the expansion of its renewable energy portfolio in Indonesia's South Sulawesi. Sidrap Wind Farm Phase II has a planned capacity of 60-70 megawatts, using 22 turbines, with each having a capacity of 3.64 MW.
The wind farm's capacity follows the projected demand for electricity in southern Sulawesi. However, the final capacity still is under study and may be concluded in time with a power purchase agreement (PPA).
PT UPC Renewables Indonesia, as the developer, has acquired 85% of the 40-50 hectares it needs for the development. Sidrap Wind Farm Phase II will be slightly different because it will be equipped with a battery storage system and ancillary equipment.
