Researched by Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas). Chisso Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) has developed a United States-based company named COMUSA LLC for the production and distribution of Chissos Funcster © long-fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic resin product line. COMUSA will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Chisso, with headquarters planned to be located in Detroit, Michigan. COMUSAs first plant will be located in Covington, Georgia on the existing site of polypropylene fiber producer FiberVisions, Incorporated (Covington, Georgia).
The Funcster © fiberglass resin line, in production since 1994, is used in the highest-quality of injection molding, as well as product enhancements. Some applications of the Funcster © product are home appliances, industrial and automotive components and large structural parts. Chisso is in the early phases of planning a European manufacturing site for Funcster and could build a new plant abroad in the next couple of years.
