An analysis of data from the Ministry of Communications and Transportation of Mexico (SCT) indicates the COVID-19 health emergency and economic factors had a substantial negative impact on the nation's port activities. Cargo moved through the ports in October was 13% less compared with the same month in 2019, affecting general, containerized, and loose cargo, bulk, oil, ferries, motor vehicles and cruise ships.
