The new 400-MW windfarm is utilizing 100 Vestas V110 wind turbines, and will sell the energy produced under a 20-year power purchase agreement. The energy generated from this new windfarm will be enough to power over 80,000 homes each year. Construction of the windfarm was completed by Wanzek Construction (West Fargo, North Dakota), and the project qualifies for the U.S. renewable energy production tax credit.
