Based on Industrialinfo.com's (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas) in-house research of its North American Industrial Database, the New England Region has 19 major industrial projects active throughout the remainder of 2003. With a total investment value of nearly $1 billion, the 19 projects are located at plants that are included in Industrialinfo.com's New England Region Online Plant Directory (OPD).
The region's 19 projects remaining for the last two quarters of 2003 are spread throughout various industries, including Power, Pharmaceutical/Biotech and Industrial Manufacturing. The relatively small, yet economically viable New England region accounted for over $23 billion in total industrial capital spending for the five-year period covering 1998-2002.
