PPL Corporation (NYSE: PPL) (Allentown, Pennsylvania) expects a successful first-fire this month of a 540-megawatt power plant in Northern Illinois. PB Power Incorporated, a Parsons Brinckerhoff Company, is the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor of record for the estimated $180 million project.
