Formosa Plastics restarted its 1.8 billion-pound-per-year Olefins 2 ethylene unit in Point Comfort, Texas, over the past weekend; however, the unit will shut down again next week for approximately four months due to ongoing mechanical complications. Expectations are to restart the unit in late September or early October.

Borealis Ottmarsheim continues with a planned maintenance turnaround of the 250,000-metric-ton-per-year ammonia unit at its Ottmarsheim Fertilizers Plant in France. The maintenance is expected to wrap up in late July.
