EIA: U.S. December Distillate Demand to Lowest Since 2020 - U.S. product supplied of distillate fuel oil declined in December to 3.61 million barrels per day (BBL/d), down about 10% from November and the lowest since June 2020, data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed on Thursday. Product supplied of distillates, the EIA's measure of demand, fell in December by 397,000 BBL/d from November, the biggest monthly decline since April 2020, the data showed. (Reuters)

TotalEnergies Signs LNG Deal with Singapore's Sembcorp - TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE) (Courbevoie, France) announced on Thursday a deal to supply Singapore's Sembcorp Industries with up to 0.8 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year for 16 years, from 2027 onward. (Reuters)

U.S. Continues to Replenish Petroleum Reserve - The administration of President Joe Biden is slowly replenishing the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) after selling a record amount of oil from the stockpile in 2022 in an effort to control gasoline prices following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Department of Energy said this week it has bought 3.2 million barrels of domestically produced crude oil, its latest in a steady stream of small purchases for the reserve. The oil is slated to be delivered to the SPR in July. (Reuters)
