Latin America Ready to Kick Off Industry-Owned Power Projects

Industrial Info is tracking 934 power projects, worth more than $8 billion, that will supply electricity to various industries in Latin America. This value includes $7.71 billion for the construction of industry-owned newbuild generation and cogeneration capacity; as well as $323.5 million in modernizations, uprates and other in-plant capital projects and $256.9 million in maintenance activities on the existing industry-owned installed base.

The vast majority of projects are in production plants belonging to the Pulp & Paper, Food & Beverage and Alternative Fuel industries.
