Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is operating its 760,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Jamnagar SEZ Refinery in India at approximately 87%, due to low demand as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since August 11, the 380,000-BBL/d Crude Oil Distillation Unit (CDU) 1 has been operating at 85% and the 380,000-BBL/d CDU 2 has been operating at 88%. The units are tentatively expected to resume full throughput by August 31.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)'s lone CDU at its 160,000-BBL/d Mathura Refinery in India resumed full throughput on August 15. The unit had been operating at 85% since July 31 due to low demand as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Zarubezhneft is keeping its 84,000-BBL/d Bosanski Brod Oil Refinery in Bosnia and Herzeogvina offline, after shutting the facility for economic reasons in February 2019. The restart has been rescheduled from July 2021 to February 2022.
