$23 Million Printing Plant Planned for Massachusetts

Interprint Incorporated (Pittsfield, Massachusetts), a designer for the decorating laminating industry, plans to start construction for a new $23 Million Commercial Printing Plant in Pittsfield, Massachusetts (PEC 35000722, Plant 1063447).

Located on a 71-acre parcel of land off Route 41 in Berkshire County, construction on the 135,000 square foot plant is expected to begin site work this month, with construction starting in late summer 2004 and completion slated for spring 2005. The new plant will include 115,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 20,000 square feet of office space and will create 163 new jobs. Six production printing machines (laminated presses) will be installed along with other supporting equipment.

Einhorn Yaffee Prescott an architectural and engineering firm in Albany, New York, are currently performing detailed engineering for the new plant. A general contractor is in the process of being selected.

The company designs laminates for consumer business, retail and hospital uses as well as other applications. They are considered the printer of choice for many of the world's famous laminators.
