Cheniere Energy Begins Construction of $800 Million Sabine Pass LNG Terminal
The Project, which represents an $800 Million investment is expected to be completed by January 2008 and will create 80-100 new jobs.

Cheniere Energy Incorporated (AMEX:LNG)(Houston, Texas) has begun construction on the largest LNG terminal in the U.S. to date. This past January, the company broke ground on a 568-acre site, along the Sabine Pass Channel in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
Cheniere will construct a natural gas pipeline that will run sixteen miles from the Sabine Pass LNG terminal to Johnson Bayou, at which point it will interconnect with several interstate pipelines. Cheniere Energy has awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to Black & Veatch Pritchard Incorporated, headquarted in Houston, Texas.
Cheniere Energy Incorporated (Houston, Texas) is a Houston-based developer of LNG receiving terminals and a Gulf of Mexico E & P Company. The Company currently conducts exploration of oil and gas using approximately 7,000 square miles of Seismic data with an investment of $85,000,000. Cheniere Energy is also in the process of developing two additional Gulf Coast LNG receiving terminals in Louisiana and Corpus Christi, Texas and is a part owner in the Freeport LNG project.
