Construction Begins on $30 Million Distribution Center Planned in Oregon

The company plans to construct a 465,000-square-foot building on a 52.6-acre site that will support retail operations, improve service and increase efficiency at Home Depot stores in the region. The site is part of the company's larger program to improve its supply chain and make it convenient for their stores to keep the right products in stock when the customers need them. Construction started in December 2009, and overall completion is slated for the spring of 2011. Approximately 175 jobs will be created initially, and within the next four years 250 total jobs will be created.

Catamount Constructors Incorporated (Roswell, Georgia) was selected to provide general construction services for the new center.
