Construction on PVC and NaOH Project in China to End Soon

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--A 100,000-ton PVC and 90,000-ton NaOH project sponsored by China's Yinglite Chemical is expected to finish at the end of 2007. More construction will follow to expand the company's businesses.

Ningxia Yinglite Chemical Company Limited (Shizuishan City, Ningxia Autonomous Region) is busy with its Phase II expansion, which includes 200,000 tons per annum (TPA) of PVC and 170,000 tons of caustic soda. The first product line of Phase II construction, 100,000 TPA of PVC and 90,000 TPA of caustic soda, will be ready to run at the end of this year.

Yinglite plans to finish the second product line (100,000-TPA PVC and 80,000-TPA caustic soda) of Phase II in May 2008. Supporting equipments in a 140,000-TPA lime and 180,000 TPA of calcium carbide will also be complete by then. The Phase II expansion will enable Yinglite to produce 370,000 tons of PVC and 310,000 tons of caustic soda, making it one of China's leading PVC-NaOH enterprises.

In Phase III of construction, which will last from 2008 to 2010, Yinglite will build a 80,000-TPA PVC and 150,000 TPA of caustic soda, a 150-megawatt (MW) thermal power item, 280,000 TPA of lime and a 270,000 TPA of calcium carbide.

Yinglite produces 170,000 tons of PVC, 140,000 tons of caustic soda, and 400,000 tons of calcium carbide every year, and owns 400 MW thermal power generating units.

It has finished Phase I, which includes 120,000 TPA of PVC and 100,000 TPA of caustic soda item, 140,000 TPA of lime and 160,000 TPA of calcium carbide.

In Yinglite's official Web site, it uses "Yinglite", "YoungLiteChem" alternatively as its English name.
