Longhorn Pipeline Resumes Operation - Repairs to Magellan Midstream Partners LP's (NYSE:MMP) 275,000-barrel-per-day Longhorn crude oil pipeline have been completed, and the pipeline resumed normal operation a spokesman said Sunday. (Reuters)
CRUDE OIL
Oil Falls on Lower Implementation of OPEC Cuts - Oil slid in New York on Monday as the market searches for more evidence that OPEC's cuts are working. Futures declined 1.1%, snapping last week's 5.2% gain. OPEC's implementation of output cuts slipped to 92% in June, from 110% in May, according to a person familiar with the matter. (Bloomberg)
LNG
Saipem Set for Arctic LNG 2 Contract - Russian gas producer Novatek is expected to select Italy's Saipem to build offshore platforms for its second liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in the Arctic, four sources told Reuters.
PRODUCTION
Egypt Tries to Double Gas Production by 2020 - Three recently discovered major gas fields are expected to raise Egypt's natural gas output by 50% in 2018 and 100% in 2020, the country's petroleum ministry said. (Reuters)
REFINING
China's Refinery Throughput at Near Record - China's oil refineries ramped up throughput in June to the second highest on record. Throughput last month reached 46.08 million tonnes, or 11.21 million barrels per day (BBL/d), a 2.3% rise year-on-year and up from May's 10.98 million BBL/d. (Reuters)
FINANCIAL
Centrica May Sell Shares in Gas Production Company - Centrica plc and Stadtwerke Muenchen GmbH agreed to combine assets to set up a new European exploration and production company and may sell shares in the venture after two years. The U.K.'s biggest energy supplier to homes will own 69% of the business and the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter, Centrica said Monday in a statement. (Bloomberg)
