U.S. Oil Drillers Add Rigs for Seventh Week - U.S. drillers added seven oil rigs in the week to March 3, bringing the total count up to 609, the most since October 2015, energy services firm Baker Hughes said on Friday. (Reuters)

Enbridge Restricts Light Crude Volumes on Line - Enbridge Incorporated (NYSE:ENB) is restricting volumes on feeder lines of light crude oil by 10% as a result of the shutdown on its Line 2a pipeline, according to a shipper notice seen by Reuters. The volume restrictions will stay in place until March 7. (Reuters)
No Major Hurdles Remaining for Keystone XL - TransCanada Corporation's (NYSE:TRP) Keystone XL pipeline doesn't face any major remaining hurdles to U.S. approval, Canada's ambassador to Washington said in interview with Bloomberg Friday. (Bloomberg)
More Than $5 Billion in Planned Oil & Gas Projects in U.S. Northeast, New England in 2017 - Industrial Info is tracking $5.19 billion in planned 2017 project starts in the U.S. Northeast and New England for the Terminals, Pipelines and Oil & Gas Production industries. Leading the Oil & Gas pack for the region is the Pipelines segment, with more than 90 projects valued $3.75 billion that are planned to kick off this year. Most of this activity is occurring in Pennsylvania, where an abundance of shale gas from the Marcellus Shale requires additional takeaway and processing capacity. (IIR)

California Imports About 26% of its Power Needs - The U.S. Energy Information Administration reports in 2016, the California Independent Systems Operator (ISO), which coordinates most of the electricity used in California, imported a net daily average of 201 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) throughout the year from other western regions, or about 26% of its average daily demand.
