Oil Falls Below $50 a Barrel - U.S. crude fell about 2% on Thursday, falling below the $50-per-barrel mark for the first time since December. (Reuters)
U.S. Awards 10 Million Barrels from Strategic Petroleum Reserve - The U.S. Energy Department said on Thursday that it had awarded 10 million barrels of sour crude oil to BP plc (NYSE:BP), Valero Marketing and Supply Company, among others, from the strategic petroleum reserve. (Reuters)

Trans Mountain Begins Open Season on Remaining Barrels - Kinder Morgan Incorporated (NYSE:KMI) began open season on Thursday for the remaining 22,000 barrels per day of shipping on its Trans Mountain pipeline in Canada. (Business Wire)

Shell Sells Oil Sands Oil Sands Assets - Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE:RDS-A) has agreed to sell most of its Canadian oil sands assets for $8.5 billion, the latest international oil major to withdraw from the oil sands region. (Reuters)
Exxon to Buy Mozambique Gas Stake from Eni - Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) said it will buy 25% of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project off Mozambique from Italy's Eni SpA (NYSE:E) for about $2.8 billion as the U.S. oil giant expands its worldwide LNG footprint. (Bloomberg)
