Dynamotive Plans to Construct Grassroot BioOil Plants in Canada and the U.K.

Dynamotive Energy Systems Corporation (OTCBB: DYMTF) (Vancouver, British Columbia) is pursuing plans to construct their first demonstration scale plant in Western Canada with the consideration of at least three sites in British Columbia. This new plant will have an operating capacity of over 100 tons per day of BioOil using wood residue provided by Canadian Forest Products Limited (TSE: CFP) (Vancouver, British Columbia) (Canfor) and will most likely be located on an existing Canfor site.

Dynamotive already operates a 10 ton per day pilot scale plant in Vancouver and is developing plans to build a 200 ton per day plant in the United Kingdom under the name Border Bio Fuels. The United Kingdom plant has the potential of producing up to 69 megawatts of power for the local grid and depending on the site location of the Canadian plant, power generation is an option for it as well. Selection of a plant site and an engineering and construction firm from an established short list is expected to take place in September or October of this year.

BioOil is a liquid fuel produced using Dynamotive's patented fast pyrolysis system (BioTherm) to convert biomass products such as wood, sugar cane, wheat straw, and mote to a useable and economical fuel ( BioOil).

Dynamotive recently reached an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Private Energy Producer (PEP) Ontario Power Generation (OPG) (Toronto, Canada) to use the BioTherm process to develop feedstocks for the production of green power supporting OPG's role as the number one supplier of green power in Ontario under the trademark name Evergreen.
