Enhanced PECWeb Direct Integrates Web-Based Industrial Project and Plant Data in One Easy to Use Tool

Industrialinfo.com (Industrial Information Resources, Incorporated; Houston, Texas) is proud to announce the latest enhancements to PECWeb Direct, a web-based industrial information management tool. Since November of 2002, PECWeb Direct has provided users with easy access to Industrialinfo.com's web-based industrial project, and plant database. Now, several recently completed enhancements allow PECWeb Direct users access to, additional plant contacts, dynamic project updating, dynamic graphing and analysis, WSI Weather forecasts, and much more!

Background

In 1983, Industrial Information Resources, then known as Construction Information Services, began producing paper copies of the PEC (Planning, Engineering, and Construction) Report. The PEC Report was designed to identify and convey accurate project related knowledge such as company, plant, scope and status. This was achieved by assembling a staff of engineers with process and heavy manufacturing industry experience to research, compile, and verify all aspects of the information.

Since that time, Industrialinfo.com has reported on over 100,000 individual projects, globally, across twelve industries. The PEC report has evolved from paper, to software, and now to leading edge web-based technology. The evolution from the paper reports of yesterday to the web-based dynamic tracking tool of today is the result of Industrialinfo.com's continuing desire to provide our clients with the most accurate information and the best technologies to deliver that information, which today starts with the web.

Recent Enhancements to PECWeb Direct Include:

Dynamic Project Updating

Query and view dynamic changes to key project elements based on Industrialinfo.com's daily research updates. Alerts users to changes in Project Status, Project Kick-off Date, Project Completion Date, PEC Timing, and PEC Activity as changes are uncovered. This release of PECWeb Direct also has made improvements to PECWeb Direct's project query and project viewing capabilities.

Dynamic Graphing Tool

This powerful new project analysis tool allows users to graph, view and print project search results by geography, industry, PEC timing and schedule.

WSI Weather Forecast

Industrialinfo.com now provides PECWeb Direct users a 30, 60, and 90 day temperature forecast for the U.S., supplied through a relationship with WSI Corporation (Andover, Massachusetts), the world's leading provider of weather-driven business solutions for professionals in the energy, aviation, and media markets, and multiple federal and state government agencies.

Additional Plant Contacts

In addition to the three project contacts, Industrialinfo.com has added up to nine plant contacts available for each project listing. Since the late 1980's, Industrialinfo.com has created, maintained and expanded a database of plant information that today exceeds 40,000 plants across twelve industries.

Map It Feature

To be released this month, PECWeb Direct will include a Map It Feature utilizing Industrialinfo.com's proprietary Map Server, which will enable users to get driving directions and plant locations on a detailed road map.

Plant Search

Now with PECWeb Direct's Plant Search function, users can access Industrialinfo.com's industrial plant database, featuring over 40,000 operational plants and 300,000 plant management contacts. This online access includes; daily plant updates, advanced searching capabilities, quality report output, and more!
