U.S. Natural Gas Production, Consumption to Reach Record in 2019 - U.S. dry natural gas production will rise to an all-time high of 90.73 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) in 2019 from a record high of 83.35 Bcf/d in 2018, according to the Energy Information Administration's Short Term Energy Outlook on Tuesday. The latest March output projection for 2019 was up from EIA's 90.16-Bcf/d forecast in February. (Reuters)

BP, Exxon to Help Advance Alaska LNG Project - Alaska Gasline Development Corp said it signed an agreement with BP plc (NYSE:BP) and Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) (ExxonMobil) to help advance the state-owned company's proposed $43.4 billion Alaska liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. BP and ExxonMobil produce massive amounts of oil in Alaska and have discovered huge gas resources that are stranded in the North Slope. The Alaska LNG project is designed to liquefy 3.5 billion cubic feet per day of gas for sale to customers in the Asia-Pacific region from a facility to be built in Nikiski on the Kenai Peninsula south of Anchorage.
