Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas). Privately held Harvest Biofuels LLC (Addison, Texas), a subsidiary of Kensington Industry & Investment (Dallas, Texas), is planning to build three fuel ethanol plants in the Midwest state of Iowa. Some pre-construction activity and dirt work started at the first location in Galbraith earlier this spring. The second project is scheduled to start construction later this month near Garner and a third location in Gilmore City is expected to get underway later this summer.
Construction is expected to take 12-14 months to build with the Galbraith plant, which is scheduled to go online first, followed by the Garner project, then the Gilmore City project.
All three plants represent a capital investment of over $450 million.
